On October 29, 2026, Medality moves to a new CME accreditor. The CME you’ve already earned stays on your record. Courses and Fellowships you start before then and finish after will continue in a new version.
What’s changing
What is changing with Medality course accreditation?
Medality is changing its CME accreditor from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to Partners for Advancing Clinical Education. The change takes effect on October 29, 2026.
Your courses and progress
How will this change affect learners?
If you start a CME course before October 29 and open it again after, you’ll be taken to a new version of that course. Your progress from the previous version doesn’t carry over, so the new version starts at 0%.
For example, say you log in on October 28 and you’re 50% through the Knee MRI Mastery Series. When you log in on November 2, you’ll see the new version of the Knee MRI Mastery Series at 0%. You can pick up where you left off and keep earning CME. You can also retake sections you already finished to earn CME again.
You won’t lose any CME you’ve already earned, and courses you’ve already completed aren’t affected.
Is any of my progress being deleted or moved?
No. Your progress and CME from courses you worked on before October 29 are saved, and you can still access them.
Will old links to courses and activities still work?
Yes. If you open a course from an existing link, or select it anywhere in the site navigation, you’ll be taken to the newest version. If you need to check your progress, you’ll see a link there to the previous version.
Your CME
Will my CME certificates change?
Certificates for courses completed before October 29 won’t change. Starting October 29, new certificates will show Partners for Advancing Clinical Education as the accreditor.
Will I lose CME credit I’ve already earned?
No. CME you earned in previous versions of courses before October 29 is still available to download.
Can I earn CME again for content I completed before October 29?
Yes. You can take the new versions of courses you’ve already completed and earn CME for them again.
Fellowships
What about Fellowships?
Fellowships work the same way as other courses. If you start a Fellowship before October 29 and open it again after, you’ll be taken to a new version of the Fellowship. Your progress from the previous version doesn’t carry over.
For a Fellowship you’ve started but not finished, the new version starts at 0%. This includes courses inside the Fellowship that you’ve already completed.
Access
Will there be any downtime when I can’t access Medality?
No. We don’t expect any downtime during this change.
