When logging in to the TrueLearn mobile app, you will see a notification center icon in the top right hand corner. These messages will show for all active subscriptions you have in one place as well as allow you to filter by subscription.
This is where you will receive messages about upcoming assignments, personalized insights, and Bottom Lines from recently missed questions.
All messages will display in your Notification Center with unread messages at the top. You can open a message to read it, see all details, and take any actions available.
Notices
If you have an institutional subscription, you will receive a Notices notification type. These are in addition to the emails you already receive about quizzes and assessments. Your mobile Notification Center will include a Notices filter. This is where messages about any quizzes or assessments you have been assigned that a faculty member, program leader, or program coordinator has set up reminders for.
These can include:
- Assignment alerts – let you know a quiz or assessment has been assigned to you
- Start Date reminders – let you know if a quiz or assessment is available soon
- End Date reminders – let you know a quiz or assessment is due soon
- Unassigned – let you know if an assignment you previously were alerted about has been unassigned and is no longer available.
Insights
The Insights notification type delivers personalized messages with suggestions for improved performance. Insights provide reminders to use spaced repetition and take tests with previously missed questions, which will appear for you as you make your way through the bank.
Bottom Lines
The Bottom Line notification type is optional and allows you to receive messages containing the Bottom Line from questions you’ve missed recently. You can filter by Bottom Lines in the mobile Notification Center. This is a great way to include spaced repetition in your study. You can enable these Bottom Lines and decide what days and how many messages per day (up to two!) you’d like to receive.
Please note, these have replaced the SmartTexts that used to be delivered via text, so make sure you have these enabled!
Push Notifications
For mobile, you can decide via your phone settings how you’d like to receive these alerts and reminders. We recommend enabling push notifications so you are alerted from your phone home screen about these important reminders! Push notifications can be set/adjusted within the settings of your mobile app. Once enabled in the app, you will be prompted to enable push notifications on your device.
