About the NCE/SEE Learner Mock Assessment
The NCE/SEE Learner Mock Assessment is designed to simulate the actual exam and provide valuable information about strengths, weaknesses, and overall exam preparedness. The assessment consists of 170 questions that are not included in the existing NCE/SEE Learner SmartBank, and the content is fully aligned with the actual NCE Content Outline to simulate the real-world exam and provide insight into exam readiness.
Utilizing the Mock Assessment in advance of an exam can help establish readiness and identify any areas that may need additional focus. We recommend taking the assessment at least 60 days in advance of the exam to allow time for proactive adjustments to your study strategy prior to your exam.
Once the assessment is completed, you will have access to a detailed Summary Report, which will provide overall performance, decision or answer-change analysis, average time spent on questions trends, aggregate performance by each category covered, and individual item performance with comparative analytics provided throughout the report.
The mock assessment is taken in Timed Mode with no pause functionality, as you are expected to complete the assessment in a single sitting.
Navigating to the Assessment
To access the NCE/SEE Institutional Mock Assessment, log into your APEX Anesthesia Review account and select “My SmartBank” from the menu.
Once the SmartBank opens in the TrueLearn platform, the Mock Assessment can be accessed by clicking on the “Assessments” tab in the Assignments table in the Dashboard.
NOTE: NCE/SEE Institutional SmartBank users are provided a different mock assessment, which will be assigned and administered by the program.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Mock Assessment cost extra? Yes, the NCE/SEE Mock Assessment is available to add on to an active subscription to the NCE/SEE Learner SmartBank.
Who can assign the Mock Assessment? Any student with an active subscription to the NCE/SEE Learner SmartBank. Students with an institutional subscription have access to a separate mock assessment that is administered by the program.
Does the exam have to be taken on a specific day? No, you can choose the date and time when you complete the mock assessment.
Will I be able to see my performance? A detailed Summary Report will be provided immediately after you complete the mock assessment.
