Picmonic Embedded in TrueLearn Explanations
To support learning and help close knowledge gaps, you’ll find Picmonics embedded in the rich answer explanations within the TrueLearn questions, allowing you to quickly revisit foundational topics in Picmonic on questions that you miss.
Navigating to Picmonic from TrueLearn
Once you log into your TrueLearn account, you will see “Picmonic” in the left-hand navigation menu. Clicking this link will open the Picmonic platform in the same tab of your browser.
While your Picmonic subscription is active, you will see the Picmonic Daily Quiz box on the TrueLearn Dashboard, allowing you to quickly incorporate spaced repetition to support long-term retention.
During test review in TrueLearn, you will find a link on the “Test Results” pop-up to create a Picmonic playlist for topics on missed questions, allowing you to quickly refresh on foundational concepts and close those knowledge gaps quickly.
The Picmonic platform will open in a new tab of your browser, and you’ll be redirected to that playlist for the test.
From the TrueLearn Performance page, you can quickly open your Picmonic performance stats by clicking the link above the Category Performance section.

Navigating to TrueLearn from Picmonic
Once you log into your Picmonic account, you will see “SmartBank” in the left-hand navigation menu. Clicking this link will open the TrueLearn platform in the same tab of your browser.
While your TrueLearn subscription is active, you will see the TrueLearn SmartBank box on the Picmonic Homepage, allowing you to quickly practice applying knowledge and developing your critical thinking skills by taking tests of board-style questions. Click “Create Test.”
A “Create New Test” pop-up window will appear, allowing you to select your subscription and enter basic parameters for the TrueLearn test.
The TrueLearn platform will open in the same tab of your browser, and you’ll be redirected to the “Create Test” page in TrueLearn. From here, you can begin the test or make additional adjustments to the test settings or content categories included before beginning the test.
From the Picmonic Course, Book, or Exam playlists, you can click the “Create Test” button on the top right of the page or from within the actual playlists.
Clicking either “Create Test” button will open the TrueLearn platform in a different tab of your browser, and you’ll be redirected to the “Question Search” page. The keyword from the course or section where “Create Test” was clicked will be pre-populated in the search box.
From the Picmonic Stats page, you can quickly open your TrueLearn performance by clicking the “Go to SmartBank Performance” in the TrueLearn SmartBank Performance box on the right-hand side of the page.
The TrueLearn platform will open in the same tab of your browser, and you’ll be redirected to the TrueLearn Performance page.
