Step 1: Unzip the File
1. After downloading the digital workbook, locate the .zip file in your Downloads folder.
2. Unzip (extract) the file:
– On most devices, just double-click the file, and it will automatically create a folder.
– On iPads/tablets, tap the .zip file, and it should expand into a folder with the contents inside.
3. Open the folder and locate the workbook PDF file inside (this is the file you’ll use in the app).
Using GoodNotes (iPad/Tablets)
1. Open the GoodNotes app.
2. Tap the “+” (Add) button and choose “Import”.
3. Navigate to the unzipped folder and select the workbook PDF.
4. The file will open in GoodNotes. Use your stylus to write directly on the pages.
5. All your notes and highlights will be saved automatically within the app.
* You’re writing on top of the file—not editing the original content.
Using Notability (iPad/Tablets)
1. Open the Notability app.
2. Tap the Import icon (usually a “+” or arrow).
3. Find and open the unzipped folder, then select the workbook PDF.
4. Choose or create a Subject for organization.
5. The workbook will open, and you can begin writing with your stylus or typing.
6. All annotations are saved automatically.
* Optional: Use the audio record feature to add voice notes as you work!
Using Microsoft OneNote (Tablet, PC, or Mac)
1. Open Microsoft OneNote and create or select a notebook.
2. Add a new page.
3. Choose Insert > File Printout (desktop) or use the paperclip icon (tablet).
4. Locate the unzipped folder, then select the workbook PDF.
5. The workbook will appear as images. Use the Draw tool or Text boxes to annotate.
*This method lets you write on the workbook without altering the original PDF.
A Note for Mac Users (Preview App)
– If the PDF opens in Preview, it may allow markup, but you won’t be able to save changes due to file restrictions.
– We recommend using GoodNotes (Mac) or OneNote for a better experience.
